PTSD to be topic of town hall

A free Post Traumatic Stress Disorder town hall meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 28 in the Grand Canyon Room of the Sun City West Foundation Building, 14465 R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West.

The town hall will feature Veterans Administration doctors- Dr. Tom Hall and Dr. Tom Berger- who specialize in PTSD. The town hall is open to all veterans and their spouses or loved ones.

This event is being presented by the Vietnam Ve t e r a n s of America Chapter 1043 Sun City, the American Legion Mary Ellen Piotrowski Post 94 Sun

City West and the Arizona Department of Veterans Services.

PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have seen or lived through a shocking, scary or dangerous event. It is the normal reaction of a normal person to abnormal circumstances, according to medical experts. PTSD'2' is suffered by family, friends, loved ones, care takers, etc. Both topics will be discussed at length along with resources available to individuals.
