Local man releases country love song

Okeechobee News (FL) - 5/1/2016

Chris Fox comes from a musical background.

The Okeechobee man had two close relatives, his grandfather Donald Dierkes and his uncle Bert Dierkes who played in orchestras.

Fox has also given music a try and recently released a single, "I wish for you girl."

The military veteran served in the U.S. Army and National Guard and received his honorable discharge.

He currently attends Indian River State Colleges barber program.

"I taught myself to play guitar and always wrote poetry," he said. His top interest though is playing guitar and writing songs.

Mr. Fox battled through some personal problems and found the Lord and that allowed him to take control of his life.

"It finally sunk in what was important and the Lord has made me what I am today," he explained.

He sings praise songs, country music and tries to reach as many people as he can with his testimony.

"All of my songs have a positive message and they all come from personal experience. I feel kids today should put more into their talents," he added.

Mr. Fox and a friend, Peter Mazzetti of West-end Studios decided to put the single together. Mazzetti has worked with several well-known country artists and has produced albums that went platinum and gold.

Chris uses the artist name Taj Fox and the single will be released all over the world and available on such services as I-tunes, Amazon, and You Tube.

Mr. Fox said the song is a country love song about the wisdom of keeping a relationship strong and includes a heavenly message.

"It's about a man and woman communicating and sticking together through thick and thin. It includes a message of always making amends, being honest and putting trust in our heavenly father."

The song is up tempo and includes a short guitar solo.

Fox said he has received a tremendous response for the song in live performances and he is very excited about his future in the music business.
