BRIEF: Marywood psychological services to offer eating disorder screenings

Feb. 08--SCRANTON -- Health care providers, social workers and students at Marywood University want to help those who may struggle with eating disorders.

The university is planning a free, confidential Eating Disorder Screening Day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies.

Screeners also include educators and eating disorder professionals who will assess possible bulimia, anorexia and binge eating disorders for people of all ages, and may be able to point them to where they can get help.

The event is open to the public. For more information, call the university's Psychological Services Center at 570-348-6269.
